Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games has published their latest game, Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun, on Steam exclusively for the PC. This ultrafast roguelite has been developed by the creative team at Nao Games.
Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun tells a tale of a simple pickpocket, who finds themselves turned into a lethal ninja with exceptional mobility. Set against a backdrop of frenzied neon landscapes featuring shogun castles, magic traps, and parachuting assassins, players navigate a chaotic world where other characters also transform due to the same cataclysm. For instance, a Ramen Seller becomes a Samurai, and a Maiko turns into a deadly Geisha. Ensnared into a chaotic loop, has the protagonist been trapped to kill them, or shield them from an even greater threat?
The game draws inspiration from Japanese folklore and is set during a cataclysmic event in Edo Japan. Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun seeks to challenge players to master violent precision platforming, while also contending with the extreme speed and one-button controls.
