Continuing their work on manga adaptations in ATLUS’ Persona franchise, Udon Entertainment has announced they will be releasing a new manga anthology titled Persona 5: Comic à la Carte. Scheduled to hit the store shelves in June, the anthology is an official collection of short stories and gag strips based on the Persona 5 universe. It boasts an oversized format and features contributions from over a dozen manga creators.
Persona 5: Comic à la Carte sets out to offer an engaging blend of diverse stories revolving around the Phantom Thieves. The stories in the anthology span a variety of themes – from light-hearted and playful to more intense and deadly. The Phantom Thieves’ adventures in the anthology include going on shopping sprees, visiting clandestine doctors, taking on giant burger-eating challenges, and even whipping up their own culinary creations. Through these stories, readers will get to see different sides of the characters including Joker, Oracle, Skull, and others.
The anthology showcases stories from a range of manga talents such as Yuztan, known for the “Dragon’s Crown” manga, Kyosuke Suga of “Danganronpa” manga fame, as well as Tachibananoneko, Ran, Ueno, Tsukito, Tokiwa, Kazuichi, Ryuuseee, 337, Miyasumi, Kyouichi, and Suga Toshio. In addition to the stories, “Persona 5: Comic à la Carte” features pin-up illustrations by artists such as KEI, known for “Mikulife: KEI’s Hatsune Miku Illustration Works”, along with Hiro Kiyohara, Eiri Iwamoto, and CHANXCO.
