Indie developer Good Morning Games and publisher The Iterative Collective have announced the release of their physics-based dungeon crawler, Knight Crawlers, on Steam. The action RPG (ARPG) pitches itself as offering ragdoll combat mechanics with endless runs and player versus player (PvP) gameplay.
Ivan Moltini, Good Morning Games Lead Developer, expressed his enthusiasm for the game, stating it is a product of the team’s passion for classic RPGs and dungeon-crawling games.
Knight Crawlers is the culmination of our passion for classic RPGs and dungeon-crawling games. We wanted to create a game that would challenge players while immersing them in a rich and detailed world full of adventure and excitement. We’re thrilled to finally release Knight Crawlers on Steam and share our vision with the community
Knight Crawlers invites players to explore the Corrupted Realms, going up against numerous foes through the game’s ragdoll physics-based combat system. The game seeks to infuse slapstick humor into the dungeon crawler genre and features a roguelite progression system that rewards players with permanent bonuses between runs. Players can also learn and master a wide range of physical, ranged, and magical weapons.
The game’s promoted features include PvE physics-based combat with a variety of melee, ranged, and magical weapons, such as hammers, flails, wands, staves, and bows. Players can also participate in PvP arenas to test their skills against other crawlers or join forces to combat the horde together. Additionally, the game offers customization options through dominion points, skill cards, and weapons, ensuring each playthrough is unique.
Knight Crawlers also incorporates a crafting system, allowing players to create powerful equipment and weapons to help them survive against waves of enemies. The game’s Dominions system lets players learn talents after every crawl between different dominion classes, allowing players to specialise their skills, and enhance their astral defences.
