RubenRetro, a solo indie game developer, is gearing up to launch a Kickstarter campaign in Q2 2023. The campaign aims to fund the physical release of two rhythm music video games for Game Boy Color, titled Shera’s Music Party and Linda’s Music Party. Inspired by popular games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, these titles will have players tapping the D-Pad of their classic 8-bit gaming consoles to the beat of the music.
Each game comes with a choice of 8 kittens who will either cheer or lose concentration based on the player’s performance. There will be 7 scenarios and 3 difficulty levels, and players can expect unique events in each level that they must master to progress. Shera’s Music Party and Linda’s Music Party seeks to offer a fun and engaging experience for rhythm game enthusiasts.
The games also feature an achievements section, where players can view their progress, requirements, and completion status. Unlocking achievements rewards players with additional content. Players can choose their preferred version of the game, either Shera’s Music Party or Linda’s Music Party, based on their tastes.
