First released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012 as part of the Final Fantasy franchises’ 25th Anniversary celebration, the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy series proved to be a fun, rhythm game style romp through the iconic music of Square Enix’s flagship RPG franchise – spawning many sequels over the last ten years. Now as part of the series’ 35th Anniversary celebration, they have confirmed development is underway on THEATRHYTHM FINAL BAR LINE, to be released physically and digitally on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 starting 16 February 2023.
The base game will include a whopping 385 tracks from across the numerous Final Fantasy mainline and spin-off games, with over 100 Final Fantasy characters from across the franchise available to form your music battle party with. For those who consider spending more money for the Digital Deluxe or Premium Digital Deluxe Editions, you will be eligible to obtain music tracks from other Square Enix properties including NieR, SaGa, LIVE A LIVE, OCTOPATH TRAVELER and more. DLC is also planned to bolster your tracklist even higher.
