Craving the opportunity to travel the world once more, even if from the comfort of your own home? Do you wish to see if the Essendon Obelisk is still there a year and a half after the game first launched? After being available on the Xbox Series X|S and high-spec’d Windows PC for a couple of years now, owners of an Xbox One or Xbox Cloud Gaming compatible device can now stream Microsoft Flight Simulator from the cloud.
Once purchased, you can access Microsoft Flight Simulator through the Xbox dashboard and dive into a game session with resolutions of up to 1080p with 30fps. Those on lower-spec’d PCs, provided you have a suitable internet connection, can enjoy the very same thing. Standard controller inputs from Bluetooth controllers such as Xbox Wireless Controller for cloud gaming are supported. World updates I-VI will also be streamed automatically to all players.
The Xbox One / Cloud Gaming Device version is exactly the same as what is offered on the Xbox Series X|S and PC, with multiplayer interoperability and support for all previous purchases.
Xbox Cloud Gaming is powered by custom Xbox Series X hardware, so the only limitation should -hopefully- be your internet connectivity. Microsoft Flight Simulator can be purchased as a separate title, or through an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.
