
Kicking off the week with an anime classic, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have released the 1987 animated feature-film Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise (王立宇宙軍~オネアミスの翼) onto their AnimeLab video-on-demand streaming service. A former home video release from the company which has long been out of print, the full two-hour film can be streamed with English and Japanese audio for an indefinite period of time HERE.
Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise was one of the first films written and directed by Hiroyuki Yamaga, who later went on to work on franchises in varying capacities including Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, He is My Master and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. It features animation by GAINAX, of which Yamaga-san was a founder.
