So, you as a Dragonica player finally hit the magic level number of 20. You may be wondering what the proceedure is to becoming your next class as the methods have varied every test. Well fear no longer as the fourth Newbies Guide to Dragonica plans on detailing all there is to know about the class change, especially around the complicated level of Farrel.
It is required that you complete all hero quests up to the end of the Toto mission (Haven’t been able to confirm that, but most people finish it anyway by level 20). You must then seek out your classes trainer in the Port of Winds. You must accept one of the two given quests by him/her in regards to changing class. The classes that you can change into are:
Magician –> Acolyte OR Battlemage
Warrior –>Knight OR Gladiator
Thief –> Assassin OR Jester
Archer –> Hunter OR Ranger
[Information about these classes may be discussed in a future entry into the guide.]
Once you have chosen your class you will be given two missions to complete. Your first one is to visit one of the costal regions of the world (You can identify it by the sharks and crabs) and collect 20 class scrolls from any monster. Once completed, you have to do another 4 star mission on the Toto mission map, however this may be done as a group.
Afterwards, you are given a gas mask where you can undergo the final, and most challenging quest you have done so far, beating Farrel. If you are low level 20s then I highly recommend you do it as a group of 4 with lots of potions, since it is no simple feat.
[Safety Warning]
The use of the gas mask is recommended to prevent death from poisoning, which takes approximately 40HP every few seconds.
The enterance to Farrel’s Mission area is through the sewers, which is a task off of its own, as you must beat many different bosses to collect 5 keys in order to have a shot at killing him. From here on, you can either view the following youtube video of mine which explains most of Farrel’s instance with a few facts missing due to changes between Pre-CBT and CBT, or you can read on for my step by step walkthrough of the mission.
[youtube Z8YQfYw-oCA]
Step By Step
Step 1
Run across to the right, dodging all of the pools of poison. If you fall in, you will fall over and lost HP every few seconds. Continue right until you reach a ladder, which you must climb up to go to the second level. Head left and you should soon come across a red door.
Step 2
You must defeat Alvino Vegabond (Upgraded) and collect a key from him. Alvino Vegabond can be identified by its green tinge, while the others are darker blue in colour. Once defeated, leave the room and head left. Jump over the gaps in the floor until you reach a green door and enter.
[NOTE: To get in to the room to beat Farrel, the LEADER must have all the keys, irrespective of what keys others have. They are non-tradable as well]
Step 3
You must now defeat the Steamed Juju which is among the crowds of shark monsters patrolling the area. Once defeated, collect the second key and escape out of the same door. Head left again and jump over the gaps in the floor. Finally you can head upstairs for your next challenge.
Step 4
The next part is what most people find challenging. You must head right dodging the spikes coming from the ceiling, until you come to a very big gap in the floor. You will notice that there are platforms that move across the gaps. You must jump from platform to platform until you reach the other side, else you will fall back to either the first or second levels. Halfway through, you will come across a yellow door. Enter it.
Step 5
You must beat Chief Cook Kakanu whilst avoiding his allies which are mostly blue with evil smiley faces on their arms. Afterwards, collect the key and leave the room. Continue heading right, this time jumping over three moving platforms instead of two and head upwards.
Step 6
This is definately the most challenging part of the instance for most people. What you have to do is jump from ladder to ladder on the wall until you get to the top. I will let everyone figure out how to do this themselves unless you want to view the video on it. Here is a hint, you use more than just ladders on the wall. Once you make it through to the top, run PAST the blue door (It is empty) head left to the jumping platforms, Climb the wall using the Z button to jump from platform to platform until you reach the top. Jump across the gap in the floor you just climbed up and go through the purple door.
Step 7
Your 4th boss is Franken Doju who is similar to Toto and Tutu from the previous instances. Take him down and claim your 4th key. Once you exit the room, jump over the gap in the floor and head left. This time, jump down the gap in the floor and continue heading left until you reach the stairs. You have now arrived at your final floor. Dodge all the lasers until you reach the center of the room… notice how there is a door in the background? Enter through that door.
Step 8
You have arrived at your final mini-boss… the Bald Porky. Once you defeat him, claim the key, leave the room and head right. Once your team has assembled there, have the leader enter the room and all will follow. Then… you shall start the battle.
Step 9
Defeat Farrel. There is no one way to defeat him as there are so many variables such as level, number of party members, classes etc. Farrel attacks with a variety of diffferent attacks from all the different characters you have fought before, most often the most annoying from each of them. If you don’t succeed level up a little bit more, get more party levels or anything else to increase your firepower.
Good Luck Everyone!

Hay nice guide dude!! Can’t wait to class change.
Really handy. I had no clue about job change but this helped alot :). Thanks ;D
umm… we have on shared loot and the keys got swtiched – 2 to one guy 3 to another… so uh… what now?
Dang..
It sounds awfully difficult..
I wonder how a thief like me could possibly match up to that mission?
>,<
EH!!! , what if realy other team mate ( not leader ) toke key? what to do
cause of untradeable? ( like u said ) , remake the whole farrel mission rr?
I SO BLURRR
Unfortunately there is no solution, unless it was fixed in the OBT. You will either have to redo the mission to get the key… OR If memory serves me right, you can just set the party settings so only the leader can pick up dropped items.
Kinda nice it was wonderful i can change to my acolyte by doing this i so confused cause i cant find the way to the yellow door.Anyway!!! TQ FOR UR GUIDE DUDE!!!! IT TOO NICE!!!!!
hello.
i am wondering if i can reset my skills at lv 20.
will i get another reset scroll?
@casey
You should get a reset scroll @ Level 20+ after finishing the job change quest.
The only real information one needs from a guide like this is what key lurks behind what colored door. The rest a down syndrome monkey could figure out.
If you need this guide your stupid, simple.
Thank you for your feedback.
If a user requires assistance or not with whatever level does not mean they are stupid. This guide was written before they simplified things and it was a much more challenging level to do. I focused on these components as they were the ones that frustrated me the most when I did partying with a lot of members, as I did during the Pre-CBT and CBT.
I had a party and some of guys picked keys. We COULD NOT get in. By all means. Neither trade it or destroy it. This veeeeeery sucks.
I couldnt agree more, has annoyed me several times before (Until I am a high enough level that I can do solo runs to collect keys). The best thing to do is go into party settings and make it so only the leader can pick up items. It may cause people to whinge that they cannot pick up any items, but it does allow this issue to be solved. I think you can do that at least (Never actually tried it, but I assume it is possible)
i didnt get a skill reset scroll any help?
ATM I am doing the quest alone ( lvl 20 archer) and I am doing just fine. Only Farrel remains. I hope I will emerge victorious ^^. Your guide was handy btw 🙂 forgot the last door ^^
This guide is quite useful.
Me ( Level 21 Mage) and a friend ( level 20 archer) both finished this quest yesterday. We managed to get all the keys alone.. but we got help for Farrel at the end.
My advice is if you’re a Melee fighting character then to get help, I imagine it would be really difficult for low levelled melee, unlike range which can attack and avoid much more easily.
Good luck to everyone who does this quest.
i solo’d the mini boss and farrell cuz no one wanted to party with me
I solo-ed the 5 mini-bosses.
I HATED ESPECIALLY the Steamed Juju and Bald Porky AS THEY CAN FREAKING HEAL!! On top of that, out of 10 attacks, about only 4 – 7 hit! And I’m a Freaking thief!
Will Farrell heal? (Why does taht sound like some actor’s name..? LOL)
I have to disagree with your avoiding obstacles part. Namely the spikes and jumping from ladder to ladder. They are the EASIEST in the entire mission!
Do you think that a level 20 thief is able to solo Farrell?
Thanks.
One thing not mentioned in the guide is that Farrel has a number of barrel-bones and mummy fighters in his room (along with lasers)… which RESPAWN as the fight progresses. While I did easily (if slowly) solo the entire level to get all of the keys as a lvl 20 archer, the fact that I couldn’t clear the minions and take on the boss 1-on-1 prevented me from defeating Farrel.
nice guide but the game maker is crazy
to the author,
what did u used for the magical sphere? I mean the round pink magic that you throw your staff and heal you every milliseconds? I’m a battlemage and I want to learn that..
Many thanks!
Kitburnz
i so sad…when i take the last mission of change job…that npc give me the mask to prevent the poison gas i drop edi….then when i go in will get 40 every second..so dulan…but in boss room no more poison…so i get the 4 or 5 key and then go to the last boss room…but unfortunely…that last boss room got poison gas…so i cant do the finish the mission edi…who can help me to solve the problem how to get back the mask?….pls help me…

@ Chunkit
There’s a hero-quest line that goes to Farrel also. It will give you a 2nd gasmask.
regarding the keys. One player has to collect all the keys. If someone pick one up, go out and redo that boss. You keep the keys when you log out and log in again!
If someone who’s not the PL has all the keys, just switch PL (guess you all figured that out)
hey i lost my gas mask any1 knows what should i do?any chance i get another one?:(:S
Can anyone help me?
I dont know how to get to the sewers and do i HAVE to
get all the keys before going to boss(Farrel)?
Or do i only need 1 key? Plz reply
I think they must’ve changed the game slightly as you no longer need to complete the farrel quest to get your first promotion, I’m already an assassin and all i had to do was beat the 2 star and then the 4 star captain hookah mission quest. I can still attempt the farrell mission quest but theres just no need to, the hero quest has taken me straight past it onto the next mission quest which is at steven’s port.
Okay, I have a level 21 gladiator. I played the OBT US version of Dragonica. And all i have to do is kill Caption Hooka for my promotion test. We do not have to kill or complete the difficult promotion test of Dr. Farewell. Yaaay lol
Everytime I update the game new stuff is added. Woot. o.0
But yeah….do we still get skill reset?
i have other thing to ask you , on how to get in the portal near blacksmith at the port of wins , it says take a quest before you enter can you help me
I soloed the 5 mini bosses
and Farrel at level 21 acolyte 😛
Uhh im still downloading this game, and ive seen the controls. Can i actually like move the key that they set to another key on the keyboard?
Im a lvl 25 gladiator and im still having trouble defeating farrell no one wants to join me
Can any1 help??
I totally agree with some people archer is useful when fighting farell i am a lvl 23 ranger going to fight farell soon
beat it with warrior at level 20 solo, took me some time but it was fun
umm i did job change and there was nothing about dr farrel and i became gladiator without havin to kill him… weird
yup, u dont need to fight farell any more, wat sucks is when u get the hero quest he’s too easy xP.
1st job n 2nd job is a big gap same goes wif all promotions. from 100(theif) – 300(mage) becomes 250(jester) – 700(zomg o.0, bmage). and the skills (exception of warriors) 1st job skills pale in comparision to 2nd job skills (aco, bmage, jester anyone?)
Ugh! You serious! I am actually rather disappointed in that, it was always fun trying to teach people how to get through the level (or alternatively watching them fail on the ladder challenge – before they made it easy that is).
OHHHHH thats were the final key is
u have an amazing armor/equipment set… is that a cash shop item set or something that u can find on mission maps?

Guys ….. if your teamates have the keys seperately just do the following :
1) check if the PARTY has all 5 keys.
2) Trade the keys you have or your teamates have to the leader of you .
3) just trade to the leader in resumate.
Ok , good luck in Dragonica and Dr.Farrel mission ( Haha , you might see me one day i’m l.v 39 acolyte waiting for my second job changE XD )
Hi, could any1 help? i can’t change job n i almost lvl 21 but i have finish my hero quest until tutu or toto… =_=…. but there is no quest at job instructor there. can i change my job though i’m going to lvl 21? wat to do now?…. help pls…. i 1 2 b hunter…
u go to colin there
i already 20 level but i dont get the quest
i cant get 1 of the keys… i have fire, wood earth and watter… where do i get the last 1?
Things may have changed since I last did the dungeon, but from memory all the keys can be found from defeating the five bosses behind five active doors…. most of them are in the main jumping areas of the dungeon, however there is a fifth key behind a door in the room before meeting Farrel.
