After their launch of Megadimension Neptunia VII and MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune vs Zombies earlier this year, Idea Factory International are pushing forward with their release of yet another Neptunia spin-off game: Superdimension Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls. To be available exclusively on the PlayStation Vita (w/ PlayStation TV support), the publisher have confirmed that this game will be available from October 18th in North America and October 21st in PAL regions.
While developed by Compile Heart, this latest game saw them collaborate with ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko and SEGA directly – to deliver a game which features a group of characters known as the “Sega Hard Girls”. This is a group of humanoid console representations who reflect past Sega video game consoles, including the Dreamcast, Saturn and Mega Drive. This is relevant as lead series protagonist Neptune actually represents the never-released Sega Neptune. Each character will have an array of personalities, and will join Neptune, IF and other Planeptune denizens on this brand new adventure.

While many of the past spin-off instalments have focused on one of the CPU Goddesses, this one puts the spotlight on long-time companion character IF. This game sees Neptune transformed into a motorcycle, requiring IF to take her place as leader. With the help of the Sega Hard Girls, IF must jump, dash, climb and crawl her way through this RPG adventure to recover the lost history of the “Grand Library”.
