MangaGamer used its Anime Expo panel to confirm a release date for the second season of Rose Guns Days, unveil two new licensed titles, and reveal an exclusive plush based on a character from Funbag Fantasy.
The second of four planned chapters in 07th Expansion’s Rose Guns Days will launch on 30 July 2026. This instalment carries updated graphics and offers Japanese, English and Chinese language options. The series is set in an alternate history version of Japan, where a natural disaster during World War 2 forces the country to surrender to Sino-American forces before atomic weapons are used. The resulting occupation splits the nation between China and America, with native Japanese citizens pushed into the minority as the two powers vie for control. The story follows a war veteran and a brothel proprietress who become entangled in overlapping gang conflicts, a situation that gives rise to a new mafia family seeking power within City 23 in the hope of securing a future for the Japanese population caught in the crossfire between rival factions and occupying forces.
MangaGamer also announced it has licensed Lesson, the newest release from developer parade, known for NO, THANK YOU!!!, Room No. 9 and Lkyt. Like Room No. 9, Lesson is a dark boys’ love story built around two central characters. The plot opens on a cold, rainy night in early spring, when a young man named Kento is cycling home. Kento, now twenty, was released six months earlier after a second stint in juvenile detention and had recently settled into steady work. Moments before he is struck by a car, he recalls a warning he once received: “Mess up again, and it won’t just be juvie next time.” He loses consciousness and is seriously injured. When he wakes in hospital, he meets Takafumi, the driver of the car that hit him. With no one else to turn to during his recovery, Kento accepts Takafumi’s offer to move in together, and the two grow closer than either expected.
The second new license is Galzoo Island, a dungeon crawler spin-off of Alicesoft’s Rance series centred on so called Gal Monsters. The story follows Leopold, known as Leo, a student of monster husbandry under the renowned tamer Vestal Batch who has yet to tame even the weakest creatures. His studies are interrupted when a Gal Monster named Captain Vanilla appears and pulls him through a Teleport Gate before he can respond. He arrives on Squid Paradise, an island created by the powerful Baron Squid, where Gal Monsters gathered from around the world are held as prospective marriage candidates and subjected to various indignities. Because the baron controls an all but invulnerable monster called the Lady Killer, the Gal Monsters have been unable to resist him. Hoping to enlist Vestal Batch’s help in defeating the baron, the group instead uses their single weekly opportunity to activate the Teleport Gate and ends up bringing over his inexperienced apprentice instead.
Rounding out the announcements, MangaGamer confirmed it is producing a fumo style plush of Shamsiel, a succubus character from the Funbag Fantasy series. The plush is a limited item made exclusively for customers outside Japan and is scheduled for release in Fall 2026, with pre orders currently open.
