MangaGamer has confirmed the release of a new addition to the long-running Rance franchise with the launch of Rance 03 – The Fall of Leazas. Developed by Alicesoft, this title is a remake of the original third entry in the Rance series and is available exclusively through the MangaGamer Online Store as an 18+ uncensored release. It is priced at $44.95 USD or local equivalent.
Rance 03 – The Fall of Leazas follows the infamous adventurer Rance, summoned to help reclaim the Kingdom of Leazas after it is overthrown from within by Helman forces and their fiendish allies. With the kingdom in turmoil and its princess taken captive, Rance is tasked with leading the resistance – employing his characteristic mix of bold strategies and questionable morals.
This remake introduces a range of updates, including newly redrawn visuals suited for modern PCs, expanded story content, and full Japanese voice acting for all main heroines and several supporting characters (with the exception of Rance himself). Gameplay features include dungeon-crawling mechanics built around a card-based event system, where players must navigate traps, battles, and narrative encounters. Party composition and skill selection remain central to progressing through increasingly challenging scenarios.
Originally released in the 90s, the Rance series is known for its blend of strategic gameplay, adult content, and irreverent storytelling. Rance 03 – The Fall of Leazas is one of several modern remakes released into English over the past few years by Alicesoft (and internationally by MangaGamer) that aim to make earlier titles in the series more accessible to a contemporary audience.
