Disney Dreamlight Valley is heading out to sea. The latest Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase revealed more about The Keepsake Sea, the game’s next expansion, which launches on all platforms on 18 November 2026. The expansion introduces a new storyline and five new Villagers: Captain Hook and Wendy from Peter Pan, Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Megara from Hercules.
Players will explore three new Island Biomes, each with their own underwater areas. Getting around those depths is made possible by a new merfolk form, which gives players the ability to swim and comes with a wide range of customisation and colour options. As the story progresses, players also unlock their own Enchanted Pirate Ship, which can be customised and crewed by Villagers as they explore the Keepsake Sea.
Dory from Finding Nemo joins as the game’s first Adventure Companion. This new type of companion helps players navigate underwater areas and find items beneath the sea, and comes with its own rewards. The expansion also adds new Character Houses, Decoration Blueprints and more. Early adopters can earn a Villainous Fin for their merfolk Avatar, while a Sea Witch Boat is available only through Twitch Drops.
After the expansion, the game’s next free update, ʻOhana Holidays, arrives on 9 December. It reunites Lilo with Stitch and adds seasonal holiday content, a new storyline and Friendship Quests. The Showcase also teased three more free updates coming in the first half of 2027.
