Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 to Launch Next Month

HoYoverse has confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2: Their Secret Histories, will launch on 9 September 2026 with two new S-Rank Agents, additional story content and a new Agent Specialty.

The main story takes the Proxies and their companions to Vyrium, a special zone within the Shrouded Reef, as they continue treating the mutated power within their body. Upon arriving, they discover that TOPS has been quietly infiltrating Roscaelifer. At the same time, a shipment of Porcelloy from Flint Workshop disappears from a transfer station. Claret and her assistant Roxy begin investigating, drawing the Proxies into a trail that leads to a covert research facility connected to Helios Academy. Airspace Patrol Department Administrative Director Lindverne Sunbringer also asks Claret to investigate Porcelloy leads within the remains of Girtablullu. The resulting case will explore Sunbringer’s past and reveal information involving a former classmate and a friend reunited after several years.

The update introduces Armorer, a Specialty designed around balancing offensive and defensive capabilities. Claret, an S-Rank Electric Armorer Agent and head of Flint Workshop, will debut during the first half of Version 3.2. She will be followed by Roxy, an S-Rank Wind Stun Agent, during the second half. As the first Armorer Agent, Claret can accumulate Gash on enemies through her attacks. Once fully accumulated, Gash is applied to the target and can be triggered by specific skills to activate Maim, dealing additional damage and increasing Laceration damage. Claret’s skills use DEF as their base damage multiplier. When her CRIT Rate exceeds 100 per cent, the excess activates a multi-CRIT mechanic that uses Laceration damage in place of standard CRIT damage. Part of her initial CRIT damage is also converted into initial CRIT Rate, making DEF, CRIT Rate and CRIT damage central to her character build. Armorer Agents can also use Counter Assist to contest certain enemy Control Skills and push opponents back. Claret’s exclusive Signal Search channel will be available throughout the first half of the update.

Roxy’s combat style revolves around Eyes of the Storm. Holding her EX Special Attack creates a tornado and forms an Eye of the Storm on the battlefield. These can then be gathered and detonated to create a larger tornado. Her Ultimate generates multiple tornadoes before striking enemies across a large area in front of her. Roxy’s exclusive Signal Search channel will arrive during the second half of Version 3.2. Nangong Yu and Promeia will also return in the first and second halves respectively, alongside their Exclusive W-Engines.

Players will be able to obtain outfits from the Angels of Delusion faction series by participating in events across Versions 3.2 and 3.3. The 14-day “Surprise Screening Plan” check-in event will allow players who complete its designated missions to select one outfit. Another outfit can be claimed through the Angels Support Operation page after completing the Challenge Mode for “Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight!” This limited event follows the Proxies as they work with Kahkiboo to build an artistic pinball machine.

Players who log in during Version 3.2 can receive a cumulative total of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons.

Other events and updates planned for the update include:

  • The virtual pet activity “Diary of an Orbie Parent,” the Booastrum detective event “Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow” and the HIA virtual combat event “Shadow Chase Showdown.” Available rewards will include Polychromes and Tuning Calibrators.
  • Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel will receive a standard season update, adding new Z-Rank valuables, character Gear, advanced challenges, server-wide rankings and refreshed season missions. The store will also offer season-limited expanded inventory capacity and Proxy accessories.
  • Claret and Roxy will join the mode with new Tactical Prisms, Armorer General Gears and the Break-Even Beacon. This item summons a Bangboo to remove some supplies in advance, protecting them if an extraction attempt fails while still counting them towards the current round’s total.
  • The Beginner Guide is being expanded to include Jane, Hugo and Soldier 0 Anby. Players who did not use the Agent selection benefit in Version 3.1 will be able to choose one of these Agents after updating to Version 3.2. Completing the Phase 2 missions will also allow them to select a corresponding Exclusive W-Engine.
  • Koleda will receive an enhancement, while changes to Perfect Assist will make golden flashes consistently activate Defensive Assist and red flashes activate Evasive Assist.
  • An Armorer-specific stage is also being added to the VR Training Room. The new Bloodmarrow Coffer W-Engine will join the City Fund Benefits selection and can be redeemed in future versions using the Great Builder’s Certificate.
  • Hollow Zero will also receive exclusive Gears for Claret and Roxy alongside their arrival.

A larger themed season update featuring new maps, systems and high-difficulty challenges is currently in development.
