Venn Studios has confirmed that its dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder, Rogue Reigns, will launch on 28 October 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS and Android. Unlike traditional deckbuilders centered on a single character, Rogue Reigns aims to place players in control of three heroes simultaneously. Each character has an individual deck, battlefield role and set of abilities, with party composition and character relationships influencing the strategies available during a run.
Limited rewards require players to decide how their party develops, while procedural encounters, hero synergies and more than 10 party compositions at launch are intended to support a range of builds and playstyles. The party will also be pursued across the map by an entity known as the Stalker, whose presence causes the surrounding world to react before it appears. The game is boasting hand-drawn character artwork with generated 3D environments that respond to combat.
A limited Steam playtesting period is currently being run until early September 2026. The test includes the core party-based deckbuilding systems and allows participants to experiment with different heroes, decks and strategies before sharing feedback with the developer. Registration is available through the Rogue Reigns Steam page.
Venn Studios CEO Hugo Neri said the team’s experience examining the deckbuilding genre helped shape its approach to party mechanics, with the playtest providing another opportunity to refine the game before release.
We’ve spent years studying what makes deckbuilders compelling and listening closely to the community around the genre. With Rogue Reigns, we wanted to build an experience where the entire party matters, every decision can change the course of a run, and players are constantly discovering new combinations and strategies. The upcoming playtest is an important opportunity for us to bring that experience to more players and continue refining the game ahead of launch.
