Life simulation game Volcano Princess is set to launch for iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on 30 July 2026, with Egg Hatcher and publisher Colorful Palette bringing new story, voice and gameplay content to the expanded release. Originally developed by Egg Hatcher and released on Steam in 2023, Volcano Princess places players in the role of a widowed father raising his daughter in the Volcano Kingdom. Against a backdrop of escalating conflict between humans and demons, the decisions made throughout her upbringing shape her future and can lead to more than 50 different endings.
Colorful Palette will assume publishing duties for the new versions. The Japanese and English translations have also been revised ahead of launch, while Traditional Chinese language support has been added. The expanded release will feature newly recorded full Japanese voice acting, with Mai Nakahara returning as the daughter alongside Marina Inoue and Kento Ito. Additional content includes newly written story material, new illustrations and further exploration dungeons.
The existing Steam version is scheduled to receive a free update around October 2026. Meanwhile, a free demo titled Volcano Princess Prologue became available on 16 July 2026 for iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The demo covers the opening portion of the story through to Little Bird Day.
