Shueisha Games Inc has today announced Wild Wild Eden, an open-world survival crafting RPG developed by Magnus Games Studio, with a Steam Early Access launch set for Spring 2027.
The project was first revealed under the working title PROJECT SURVIVAL at BitSummit Let’s Go!! in July 2023. The development team has spent close to three years working on the game since that reveal, and it has now been officially named Wild Wild Eden. Alongside the announcement, the game’s Steam store page has been updated and wishlist registration has opened.
Wild Wild Eden is set on an open world featuring floating landmasses, ancient ruins and various creatures for players to discover. Players will be able to explore mountains and seas, build a settlement, and tame wild creatures, including riding them. The game also includes a breeding system that allows players to raise companions. The game can be played solo or online with other players.
The creatures encountered in the game are intended to function as companions and members of the player’s tribe, rather than purely as tools for survival, with the developers aiming for the creatures’ behaviours and interactions to contribute to the sense of a living world. The game is further pitched as focusing on emotion, exploration and storytelling alongside its survival mechanics.
