Fireshine Games and developer Undercoders have released Denshattack! across PC and consoles, with the acrobatic train action game also available through Game Pass from launch. Denshattack! is priced at $19.99, €17.99 or £15.99. Steam players can receive a 10 per cent launch discount for the next two weeks, while console players can claim a seasonal train skin pack and an additional skin exclusive to their chosen platform during the same period.
Set in a dystopian version of Japan, the game follows communities living outside air-purifying domes occupied by the ultra-rich. With the surrounding wasteland now controlled by rival gangs, players must collect upgrades and rise through the ranks to become Japan’s leading acrobatic train driver. More than 60 stages are included, with missions built around racing, performing tricks and confronting bosses. Its central concept combines skateboarding-inspired movement with trains, Japanese underground culture and traditional influences.
Game Director David Jaumandreu said the project draws on the development team’s enthusiasm for skateboarding, trains and Japan, alongside games and anime from the Y2K era.
“It’s a dream to bring together our greatest passions in Denshattack!: skateboarding, trains, and Japan! Denshattack! harkens back to the unmistakably bold style championed by some of the Y2K era’s greatest games and anime, including the iconic Jet Set Radio, One Piece and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. These were foundational inspirations for how we approach game and character design, and their unabashed celebration of larger-than-life ideas continue to inspire us to this day.”
The launch is accompanied by a new gameplay video featuring THE DO DO DO’s TRAIN-A-GO-GO!, an original song created for Denshattack!. The game’s complete soundtrack is also available to purchase through Steam and stream from 19 July 2026.
The soundtrack includes music from Tee Lopes, whose previous work includes Sonic Mania and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Guest composers include Ryo Nagamatsu from the Splatoon and Mario Kart series, Richard Jacques from the Jet Set Radio series and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi from Daytona USA and Sega Rally Championship. The music was assembled with gaming-focused record label Kid Katana.
