Pearl Abyss has released a teaser for an upcoming Black Desert class ahead of Heidel Ball, the game’s annual global event taking place this week. The video introduces a gun-wielding figure named Eddie, who is attempting to bring back his sister. It provides an early look at the character’s weapon, personality and story, although several details remain under wraps. Eddie’s full class name, combat style and abilities are scheduled to be revealed during Heidel Ball.
In the lead-up to the event, Black Desert’s Terrmian Festival is continuing with additional activities and rewards. A new World Boss known as the Winged Mermaid will appear at Terrmian Beach twice each day. Defeating the boss can reward Adventurers with items including a Terrmian Dice Box, 50 Cron Stones and a Gold Bar 100G. Additional bonus rewards may also be obtained, including a Box of 1,000 Cron Stones and a Gold Bar 1,000G.
The Winged Mermaid’s arrival has also created a whirlwind at Terrmian Beach, bringing treasures from beneath the sea to the surface. During the event, Adventurers can fish for an [Event] Rare Ocean Treasure Bundle containing possible rewards such as a Gold Bar 100G, 100 Crow Coins and Ravinia’s Moss Remover. Rarer items available from the bundle include a Gold Bar 10,000G, Golden Ghost Whale, Golden Turtle Shell and Moss-Covered Map.
Ravinia’s Moss Remover can be combined with the Moss-Covered Map through Simple Alchemy to create Torn Treasure Map Pieces. Adventurers who collect all nine pieces will receive the Treasure Map of a Sailor, which leads to a treasure chest hidden deep beneath the ocean.
Players can also visit the Heidel Fountain ahead of Heidel Ball to complete simple quests and obtain the [Event] An Adventurer’s Tome. Equipping the item provides several temporary benefits, including Monster Damage Reduction +10, a 10 per cent increase to Item Drop Rate and additional EXP boosts.
