Square Enix has released The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a new action RPG from Team Asano, across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Xbox on PC. Players interested in trying the game before purchasing can also access a free demo on all platforms. Save data from the demo can be carried over into the full release.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales follows Elliot and Faie as they travel through a large world spanning four ages. Along the way, the duo will encounter enemy hordes, hidden caves and ancient ruins. Combat centres on Elliot’s use of seven weapon types, ranging from close-range swords to chains and sickles that can pull enemies in. Each weapon can be customised through magicite, giving players room to shape their preferred combat style.
Faie also plays an important role both in and outside of battles. Her magic can be used to attack enemies, retrieve items from areas Elliot cannot reach and assist with exploration.
Alongside the launch, Square Enix has shared the two episodes of a behind-the-scenes series, The Making of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.
