HoYoverse has announced that its upcoming cozy galactic life simulation game, Petit Planet, will be entering its next phase of closed beta testing. Titled the Stardrift Test, this trial is scheduled to begin on 21 April 2026 and will be accessible to players on PC, iOS, and Android devices.
In Petit Planet, players take on the role of a Planet Tender, managing their own unique planet within a vast setting known as the Starsea. The core gameplay loop focuses on a variety of life simulation activities, including farming, fishing, cooking, and beachcombing. As individual planets connect to form larger galaxies, players can interact with fuzzy Neighbors and use a vitality known as Luca to shape and flourish their landscapes.
The Stardrift Test introduces several new Neighbors, each featuring distinct personalities and stories. Players can invite these characters to reside on their planets, engaging in social interactions through gifts and conversations. This beta phase also features an updated Starsea Voyage mechanic, which allows players to navigate a Starsea Map and explore Islets with their Neighbors.
Furthermore, the Galactic Bazaar has been expanded with new social activities. Players can gather for coffee, relax by communal bonfires, participate in auctions, and engage in activities such as fortune-telling and dancing.
While currently confirmed for PC and mobile platforms, HoYoverse has indicated that further platforms are presently in development. Interested participants can sign up for the Stardrift Test through the game’s official website.
