A new accessibility Pilot Program has been introduced to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, offering players alternative ways to engage with the game through the platform Cephable. This free update focuses on providing control options that go beyond the standard controller or keyboard and mouse configurations.
Through the integration of Cephable, users can now navigate the game using facial expressions, voice commands, and head movements. These features are designed specifically to support players with limited mobility or those who require non-traditional input methods to enjoy the experience. The Pilot Program is currently live across all platforms within the Campaign, Zombies, Dead Ops Arcade, and Firing Range modes.

The technology works by processing inputs locally on a player’s mobile device or PC through a dedicated companion app. These inputs are then translated into standard in-game commands. While the system mimics traditional hardware signals, the developers have noted that the extra processing steps involved may result in increased latency. For this reason, these alternative controls are not intended for use in competitive gameplay modes.
The project was developed and tested in partnership with Treyarch, Beenox, and the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team to ensure that the new features maintain fair play standards. Additionally, members of the disability community were involved in the testing process to provide direct feedback on the implementation throughout its development.
To utilize these tools, players must download the Cephable companion app on either a PC or mobile device. Once the app is linked to a Call of Duty account, users can map their preferred inputs to begin playing.
