World’s Edge and Xbox Game Studios have announced that Yue Fei’s Legacy, the latest expansion for Age of Empires IV, is scheduled to launch on 7 May 2026. This upcoming content pack introduces historical narratives and mechanical additions centered on the Song-Jin wars.
The DLC features a new campaign consisting of eight missions that follow the story of Yue Fei, a prominent general of the Chinese Song Dynasty. Alongside the single player content, the Jin Dynasty will be introduced as a new playable civilization for skirmish and multiplayer modes. This faction is characterized by its use of powerful siege units and heavy cavalry.
Several new units are included in this expansion, specifically the Iron Pagoda, the Mounted Grenadier, and Eruptors. Players will also have access to four additional maps and two new biomes to diversify their battlefields. Further additions include new masteries and original music tracks.
