Publisher Maximum Entertainment and developer Polychroma Games have revealed Afterimages, a new downloadable content expansion for the narrative adventure game Until Then. Set to launch later this year, the release of this DLC will also coincide with the game making its debut on the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
The Afterimages expansion adds two new story chapters that focus on themes of grief, memory, and moving forward after a loss. The narrative is split into two separate journeys. Sofia returns to her hometown to face the memories she previously left behind, while Mark crosses paths with both an old friend and a new romantic interest.
In addition to the expanded storyline, the DLC plans to intergrate new interactive gameplay elements into the core experience. Players can engage in novel activities such as baking minigames and tarot reading. Furthermore, the in-game smartphone system has been updated to include new applications, specifically video platforms and dating apps. Throughout the two new chapters, players will interact with a mix of returning characters and new individuals.
