Two Point Studios and SEGA, in collaboration with Rovio, have released a free content update for Two Point Museum. This update introduces the Angry Birds franchise into the game’s Digiverse system, which is an expedition mechanic that allows players to retrieve artifacts and decorations from various thematic realms. While the content is currently live for PlayStation users, the developers have confirmed that it will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date.
The core of the crossover involves a new rift leading to Piggy Island, which features three unique points of interest including the Cobalt Plateaus, Bamboo Forest, and Pig City. Curators can now establish the game’s first bird wildlife exhibits and collect nine new artifacts inspired by the series. To facilitate these additions, the update provides themed flooring, wallpapers, and gift shop items. Gameplay also introduces characters such as Red to interact with museum visitors, while the Bad Piggies appear as a nuisance that players must manage to maintain their exhibitions.
A separate seasonal expansion has also been included in this update to provide spring themed customisation options. This includes the introduction of the Easter Isles, found within the Scorched Earth map, where players can discover new botany items and a specific habitat critter. These additions are designed to attract a new visitor demographic referred to as Egg Hunters. To further customise the museum environment, managers can now place chocolate cake kiosks and baskets of chocolate eggs throughout their halls.
Beyond the thematic content, the update brings several quality of life improvements and general additions to the base game. Briny Bay has been updated to include various forms of marine life for use in water based exhibits. For experienced players, the developers have introduced new Curator-Class rewards that are unlocked by reaching higher levels of museum management.
