Frozen District has announced a new expansion for the House Flipper 2. Dubbed the Sakura DLC, this content update is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC during the second quarter of 2026. Alongside this announcement, the studio has released a roadmap outlining plans for the franchise through the first half of the year.

The Sakura DLC focuses on Japanese culture and architecture, introducing a new countryside environment that features views of springtime cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji. The expansion will add five new renovation jobs to the game, with settings ranging from a small tearoom to an abandoned primary school. To support these renovations, over 300 new items will be added to the catalogue, covering furniture, plants, and decorations suited to the theme.
Mechanically, the DLC introduces three new “intricate wooden assemblies” for players to construct. It also adds five purchasable Japanese houses to flip and introduces five new buyers specifically looking for traditional Japanese architecture. Players can also expect new collectibles and achievements associated with the new region.

In addition to the main game update, the developers have released a playable demo for a spinoff project titled Heart Flipper. Described as a “House Flipper Dating Sim,” the demo has been made available on Steam to coincide with Valentine’s Day. This project takes the franchise in a different direction, though specific gameplay details beyond the genre shift remain to be explored by players in the trial version.
