Italian development studio Commodore Industries has announced the official launch of their racing title, Millennium Runners. Following a period of soft-launch availability and schedule adjustments, the game is now available for purchase on PC via Steam.
Created by the internal team at Commodore Sinapsy, the title serves as a homage to traditional arcade racing games while aiming to establish its own identity within the genre. The game is pitched as an anti-gravity racing experience.
In Millennium Runners, control anti-gravity vehicles across various alien circuits featuring complex track designs, including sharp curves and jumps. The game allows users to choose from four specific teams, each possessing its own visual style and narrative background.
At launch, Millennium Runners features three distinct gameplay modes. These include a standard Race mode, a Time Attack mode for setting records, and an elimination style mode titled Last Ship Standing.
The audio component of the game features an original soundtrack composed by Abyss and 100% Amiga DJ, with remixes provided by Alessandro Bertaccini. The music is designed to evoke the history of the Commodore brand and the Amiga era, namely by utilising synthwave and retro-futuristic styles.
