Nacon and Spiders Studio have released a new behind the scenes video for the narrative RPG GreedFall: The Dying World, focusing on the development of the game's fictional language, Yecht Fradí. Through an interview with linguist and co-creator Antoine Henry, the video details how the dialect spoken by the natives of Teer Fradee was constructed using inspirations from Proto-Celtic and its descendants such as Old Irish and Old Welsh. While the language appeared in the previous title, the developers explain that Yecht Fradí plays a more central role in this sequel as players assume the role of a native character, necessitating a realistic linguistic structure to support the immersive experience. GreedFall: The Dying World is currently in Early Access on Steam and is scheduled for a full release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
