AFK Journey is rolling out a worldwide crossover with the anime Delicious in Dungeon. The in game event is now underway, and will remain available until 26 December 2025.
The limited time story follows Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck and Senshi as they attempt to return to the surface from the depths of their dungeon. During a battle with unfamiliar monsters, they accidentally open a passage to the world of Esperia. Laios and Marcille are pulled through and end up working with Magister Merlin as they try to find their way home, bringing their trademark monster based cuisine with them.
The crossover is scheduled to run until 26 December 2025, with themed mechanics and content introduced across the season. Players can expect a focus on exploration and cooking that draws directly from Delicious in Dungeon.
The event’s core content is presented as a multi floor underground dungeon inspired by the anime. Each floor is divided into areas based on monster attributes, and each battle can yield rewards or ingredients. Alongside the standard encounters, there are new side quests and boss challenges to work through as you progress deeper underground.
Two central characters from Delicious in Dungeon join the AFK Journey roster for the duration of the event. Laios and Marcille arrive in Esperia as recruitable heroes and can be added to your team by using Invite Letters. Laios appears as an adventurer who is fascinated by monsters and their culinary potential, able to turn defeated foes into support options for his party. Meanwhile, Marcille joins as an elven mage whose spellcasting relies on chanting, with her performance improving the longer she remains active.
