HoYoverse has confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.3: Memories of Dreams Bygone is set to go live on 15 October 2025. Just in time for the spooky season, the update threads a ghost story through the newly opened Timesworn Hills, introduces three playable Agents from Spook Shack, and adds fresh modes, outfits and rewards.
Set around an ore rich zone where research sites lie abandoned, Timesworn Hills leans into urban legends within the Hollow, from a phantom bell to hypnotists who trap victims in unending dreams. The update begins with a case centred on missing miners and Porcelumex employees, drawing Proxies deeper into the area’s mysteries.
New recruits headline combat changes. Lucia joins as an S Rank Ether Support who builds Dream Points, then enters a Dream state to cast Ether Veil: Wellspring that raises team max HP, increases Sheer Force and triggers Aftershocks. Meanwhile, Yidhari arrives as an S Rank Ice Rupture Agent whose attacks always deal Sheer DMG and scale with max HP, with damage rising as her HP percentage drops. For those who may not have luck on their side, Komano Manato rounds out the trio as an A Rank Fire Rupture Agent whose strikes scale from max HP. Returning S level Agents Vivian, an Ether Anomaly unit, and Ju Fufu, a Fire Stun unit, will also return on banners, with new outfits for Vivian and Manato.
On the systems side, Soldier 0 Anby receives refined mechanics aimed at unlocking more of her potential. A new Threshold Simulation mode also has Proxies deploy multiple squads across linked encounters to juggle tactics and execution. The event When Dreams Remain Unfinished shifts into turn based combat where players command monsters with distinct traits, and clears will award Manato as a free Agent. The SNAP! Shining Strike photography event is also back with expanded camera controls, filters and frames.
As an added bonus, as a thank you to the community, players will be able to obtain an extra 600 Polychromes in addition to the usual 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons.
