Sonic The Hedgehog Zips Into Waze With Voice Navigation And Themed Icons

SEGA of America and Waze have teamed up to bring Sonic the Hedgehog into the Waze navigation app, with the integration rolling out globally from today.

Users can switch their navigator to Sonic in English or French, where the Blue Blur delivers turn by turn instructions. The update also adds Sonic themed visual options inside the app. Drivers can swap their on screen vehicle for the Speedster Lightning car from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and select the Energetic mood to show a Sonic inspired status on the map.

This is the latest in a number of initiatives SEGA hope to bring audiences for SEGA’s 35th Anniversary milestone.
