Disordered Media has postponed the PC release of oneway.exe: Module 1.0 to 22 October 2025, stating the team requires additional development time. The first person, single player horror puzzle game frames its scares around the darker corners of internet culture, presenting an unfinished mystery title, UNTITLED.EXE, and the grim fates of its three original developers as the foundation of the game’s narrative.
Players are tasked with picking through a decaying digital landscape, solving puzzles and surviving encounters with figures tied to different horror subgenres. The studio positions the project as a tribute to the online media and community folklore that inspired it.
Disordered Media co founder Spider Ray outlined why the decision was made and what the team hopes the extra time will achieve.
The decision to delay oneway.exe: Module 1.0 isn’t an easy one to make, but it is an important one. We want to deliver a horror experience that meets both our expectations and those of our passionate fan community. oneway.exe is a loveletter to the horror media and internet culture that shaped our lives, so it’s important that we take the extra time to make it the best – and scariest – version it can be. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to unleashing oneway.exe: Module 1.0 on Oct. 22, 2025!
