The Fast & Furious film franchise has made a fresh pit stop on home consoles with Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition, which is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The release brings the coin-op racer, found in arcades and cinema lobbys, to living rooms with single-player events and two-player split-screen local multiplayer.
Developed by Cradle Games and published by GameMill Entertainment in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, the console version aims to mirror the punchy, spectacle-driven feel of the arcade cabinet. Players can drift through cinematic courses, hit nitro on straightaways, and rely on precision driving when things get tight.
Eight licensed vehicles headline the garage, including the Dodge Charger, Corvette Z06, Shelby GT500 KR, Ford GT, Bronco DR and Jeep Wrangler. Custom colour schemes are available so you can style each car to your liking.
All tracks from the original arcade release are included, featuring branching routes, destructible set pieces and hidden shortcuts that can swing a race in your favor. Beyond standard races, bonus missions add a bit of blockbuster flair, such as intercepting a missile amid the Swiss Alps or forcing a plane to the tarmac in Hong Kong.
