Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a demo for Digimon Story Time Stranger, giving players the chance to experience the opening hours of the upcoming RPG ahead of its full release on 3 October 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The demo includes two sections. The first covers the game’s prologue, placing players in the role of an ADAMAS agent investigating a mysterious disturbance in Shinjuku. Progress from this section will carry over into the full game upon release.
After completing the prologue, a new option unlocks on the main menu, allowing players to skip ahead and explore Iliad, the Digital World where Digimon live, through a sample mission. Progress made in this second section will not transfer.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is positioned as an accessible entry point for RPG fans, offering a mix of exploration across the human and digital worlds. The story focuses on the bonds between humans and Digimon as players partner with the creatures, evolve their abilities, and confront threats across both realities.
