Bad Ridge Games and V Publishing have confirmed that the long-awaited Co-Op update for the medieval life sim RPG Mirthwood will launch on July 10, 2025. Revealed during ClemmyGames’ Best Indie Games Summer Showcase 2025, the update introduces drop-in/drop-out local split-screen multiplayer alongside Steam Remote Play support, allowing two players to experience the Freelands of Mirthwood side-by-side.
Players exploring together will share a dynamic camera that adjusts as they farm, battle brigands or build a life, while each retains an individual inventory, skill progression and gear. Both can ride mounts, craft, fight and even marry one another to raise a child who inherits traits from both parents before striking out on their own. Additional combat refinements such as a directional attack indicator and enemy lock-on system have been added, along with performance optimizations for smoother play.
Mirthwood is now available to purchase via Steam, with a 25% discount opportunity running until 11 July 2025.
