Independent game developer KMW has released Giggleland: Terry’s Vegetable Patch, a free standalone horror title offering players an early look at what is underway for its upcoming horror-themed game Giggleland. The release serves as both a gesture of thanks to its growing community and a way to gather feedback as development on the main game continues.
This newly available title is designed to act as a companion piece to Giggleland, featuring a self-contained narrative that draws upon elements from the full game’s universe. The standalone release is closely tied to the broader Giggleland experience, which is currently being explored by fans as an Alternate Reality Game (ARG). The ARG weaves together elements of analog horror, an old-school flash game, secretive organisations, cryptic websites and the eerie backstory behind Giggleland’s mascot characters, a cat (Elliot) and a dog (Ella) who front a seemingly innocent children’s entertainment brand… until even the game’s announcement trailer goes wrong.
Giggleland: Terry’s Vegetable Patch follows a character named Tolie as she searches for her missing father. Her journey takes a dark turn when she finds herself trapped inside a dilapidated attraction once based on the children’s cartoon Terry’s Vegetable Patch. As players help Tolie escape, they will uncover the deeper reasons behind the attraction’s closure. However, players shouldn’t let their guard down, as something else resides in the abandoned space, and it has been waiting.
