Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital have announced that Enter the Gungeon, their bullet hell dungeon crawler, will be making its way to mobile devices this summer.
In Enter the Gungeon, players take control of eccentric heroes as they battle through procedurally generated dungeons teeming with weapon-wielding foes, trap-filled rooms, massive bosses, and an arsenal of unique guns. Known for its intense combat, fast-paced dodging mechanics, and distinctive visual style, the game also features a playful emphasis on gun-themed puns and mechanics, such as its iconic table-flipping for cover.
The mobile release introduces a number of new features and enhancements:
- Touch-Friendly Controls: The game has been adapted with mobile-specific controls, allowing players to swipe, tap, and interact seamlessly with the action on-screen.
- Online Co-Op Multiplayer: A long-requested feature, this version allows players to team up with others online, making it possible to tackle the Gungeon cooperatively from anywhere.
- New Playable Character – The Lamb: Drawing inspiration from Cult of the Lamb, players can now enter the Gungeon as The Lamb, equipped with new abilities that tie into the cult-themed action of the crossover title.
In addition, its spin-off Exit the Gungeon will also be re-released for mobile. Previously an Apple Arcade exclusive, this title shifts the action into a 2D bullet hell platforming format as players fight their way out of the collapsing Gungeon.
Both Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon will launch on mobile platforms later this summer.
