Project Motor Racing, developed by Straight4 Studios and published in partnership with GIANTS Software, is scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles in Spring 2025. Designed as a motorsport-first racing simulator, the title will feature over 70 vehicles spanning 10 racing classes and 27 track layouts, drawing on both modern and classic motorsport history.
Players will have access to a range of cars, including contemporary LMDh hypercars and historic sportscars, and like many racing games, will feature models officially licensed from manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Audi. Track layouts are based on global locations, each scanned for accuracy to support a four-class racing format.
The game seeks to cater to a broad audience, from seasoned sim racers to newcomers, with multiple gameplay options including a Single Player Career Mode, Online Racing, and Full Race Weekends. Immersive features include dynamic weather, a full day-night cycle, and a physics engine designed to enhance realism. The engine, built on GIANTS Software’s technology, operates at 720Hz and offers refined throttle control and feedback mechanisms directly tied to vehicle suspension systems.
Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software, expressed his enthusiasm for the publisher’s expansion into racing simulation, sharing:
This is the next gear for GIANTS Software: Moving forward, we will be recognised not only as the creators of Farming Simulator but also as the publisher of Project Motor Racing. Our strong collaboration with Straight4 gives me full confidence that we’ll deliver an exceptional experience for all sim racing enthusiasts!
Ian Bell, CEO of Straight4 Studios, also commented on the team’s approach:
This is not about driving. It’s about racing. With our streamlined approach and what we consider to be the most authentic handling model we’ve ever created, Project Motor Racing is both a nod to our genre’s rich legacy and a big step into the next era of simulation.
