Capcom has launched Capcom Fighting Collection 2, a compilation of eight classic and fan-favourite fighting games, now available on a range of platforms digitally and physically, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The collection offers players the chance to revisit crossover titles and 3D fighters, combining legacy gameplay with a range of new features and quality-of-life enhancements.
The collection includes a mix of 2D and 3D fighting games from across Capcom’s history. Players can take on iconic battles in Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, with characters from both Capcom and SNK franchises.
Also featured are Power Stone and its sequel Power Stone 2, both of which allow for dynamic, object-based combat within fully interactive arenas. Project Justice, the 3-on-3 sequel to Rival Schools, adds narrative depth to its high school setting and focuses on team-based attacks. Meanwhile, Capcom Fighting Evolution blends mechanics from multiple franchises including Street Fighter II, Darkstalkers, and Red Earth, with each character using the combat system of their origin game.
The collection also includes Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, an enhanced version of the third Alpha game, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, the 3D weapon-based sequel to Star Gladiator.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 introduces a number of updates aimed at improving accessibility and replayability. Online play is available across all eight games, featuring rollback netcode to improve performance and responsiveness. Players can engage in casual, ranked, and custom matches, or take part in the new high score challenge mode.
For those looking to hone their skills, a training mode is included in each title with various customisation options. The collection also introduces EX Settings, allowing players to modify gameplay features such as one-button specials, difficulty levels, display filters, and button configurations. Mid-game saving has also been implemented.
A newly remixed soundtrack is available in Capcom vs. SNK 2, Power Stone 2, and Project Justice, with the new “Ver.2K25” tracks playable both online and offline. Additional enhancements include an expanded gallery of concept art, design documents, and original arcade materials.
Support for 14 languages ensures broader accessibility, with options including English, Japanese, French, Korean, Arabic, and several regional variants of Spanish and Chinese. The release also includes support for multiple game versions, access to previously hidden characters, resolution settings, offline versus mode, and a fighter awards system.
