Rise of the Ronin Now Available on PC

Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced that their open-world action RPG, Rise of the Ronin, is now available on Windows PC via Steam. Originally released for PlayStation 5, the PC version comes with several enhancements accessible to those with higher-power PCs, including ultra-wide monitor compatibility, 8K resolution, 120fps support, 3D audio, and more.

Set in 1863 Japan during the Bakumatsu era, Rise of the Ronin follows a masterless warrior navigating the country’s turmoil as foreign forces arrive and political unrest spreads. Players will encounter historical figures and face critical choices—such as assassinating or protecting key leaders—affecting both their destiny and the game’s multiple endings.

The game aims to deliver players deep combat mechanics with various melee weapons, including katana, spear, and odachi, each with multiple styles. Ranged weapons such as guns and bows add tactical variety. Players can explore Edo, Yokohama, and Kyoto, with landscapes dynamically changing through the seasons. Movement options include a grappling rope for rooftop traversal and an Avicula glider for aerial exploration, with a photo mode allowing players to capture scenic moments.
