Ubisoft has confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on mobile devices, such as Android and iOS, from 14 April 2025. A free trial version will be available, offering players the opportunity to experience the game’s introduction before committing to a full purchase.
In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, players take on the role of Sargon, a young warrior from the elite Persian group known as The Immortals. Set in the mythological world of Mount Qaf, the narrative follows Sargon’s quest to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan and restore order to a land plunged into chaos. The game seeks to combine its protagonists’ time-manipulation powers with precision combat and traversal mechanics to deliver a challenging yet engaging gameplay experience. Players will face off against time-corrupted foes and mythological creatures, solve puzzles, uncover hidden treasures, and explore interconnected biomes across the cursed, Persian-inspired landscape.
Developed by Ubisoft Da Nang, the action-adventure platformer—drawing inspiration from the Metroidvania genre—has been fully adapted for mobile and tablet gameplay. The title will run at 60 frames per second on most current-generation devices and does not require an internet connection to play. It supports both touch screen input and external controllers, with options for full control remapping and touch interface customisation, allowing players to adjust the size, position, and transparency of inputs to suit their preferences.
The mobile version introduces several platform-specific features compared to earlier console releases, including auto-potion, auto-parry, and time-slowing mechanics, designed to enhance accessibility and overall player experience. It also incorporates all quality-of-life and accessibility options featured in the original version. Among these is the Eye of the Wanderer feature, which lets players capture screenshots and pin them to the in-game map as visual reminders. Additional options include scalable difficulty settings for enemy encounters and assistive platforming aids.
