During The MIX x Kinda Funny Spring Game Showcase, Playtonic unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for Yooka-Replaylee, confirming its launch in 2025. The remastered collectathon platformer will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch. Alongside the announcement, Playtonic confirmed a partnership with PM Studios as co-publisher for the game.
The newly revealed footage showcases Yooka-Replaylee’s overhauled visuals, featuring five redesigned biomes filled with new challenges and collectibles. The remaster introduces an expanded world map, enhanced performance, and a new character, Coinelius. Players can also expect improved camera controls, a revised move set, and an updated orchestral soundtrack composed by Grant Kirkhope and David Wise.
Playtonic CEO Gavin Price commented on the collaboration, stating:
