While the recent surge in popularity — and its arguable value more as a collectable with monetary worth than a game to be played — may make it incredibly challenging to find any available packs, The Pokémon Company International has released the latest expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together. The expansion is now available globally at participating retailers.
Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together marks the return of Trainer’s Pokémon cards, first introduced in the Gym Heroes expansion. These cards highlight the connection between a Pokémon Trainer and their partner Pokémon, with each card displaying the Trainer’s name. Among the new cards are N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, and Hop’s Zacian ex. The expansion also features new artwork styles across illustration rare, special illustration rare, ultra rare, and hyper rare cards, many of which showcase various Pokémon Trainers.
The expansion is available in a range of formats, including booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and other themed collections. Notably, Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together is the first Pokémon TCG expansion to offer Enhanced Booster Displays, each of which includes a promo card styled as an illustration rare and featuring N’s Reshiram.
