The visual novel and shoot-’em-up hybrid Kamikaze Lassplanes is now available on Nintendo Switch. Published by Crunching Koalas, the game combines narrative-driven storytelling with arcade-style gameplay. At launch, the Nintendo Switch version is available with a 20% discount, while Steam players can access a 30% discount during the Visual Novel Fest.
Developed by Polish indie studio Inky Dreams, Kamikaze Lassplanes features hand-drawn anime-style visuals and a branching storyline where player choices influence both the narrative and gameplay. The game follows Alba Trossé and Hannah Brandenburg—characters who transform into warplanes—as they engage in aerial battles against the Imperial fleet while investigating the Kingdom’s experimental “Light” technology.
Alongside its action elements, the game explores themes of war, identity, and the impact of technological advancements. The story adapts to player decisions, leading to multiple possible outcomes.
