Tides of Annihilation Announced for PlayStation 5, Blending Arthurian Legend with a Shattered London

The recent PlayStation State of Play livestream saw Eclipse Glow Studio unveil Tides of Annihilation, a new action-adventure game coming to PlayStation 5. Drawing inspiration from Arthurian mythology, the game places players in a fractured version of London, where modern ruins intertwine with a medieval fantasy realm.

Players take on the role of Gwendolyn, a warrior capable of summoning two spectral knights through a mysterious grey fog. Each knight serves a unique combat function, from aggressive attacks to defensive maneuvers and devastating combos. The ability to dynamically summon and switch between these knights allows for a strategic and fluid combat experience. The development team, composed of industry veterans, has emphasised that this system has been a core focus, shaping the game’s fast-paced and immersive combat.

The world of Tides of Annihilation presents two overlapping realities: a modern London scarred by supernatural forces and a medieval fantasy realm steeped in ancient magic and mythical creatures. Players will navigate between these versions of the city, uncovering the mystery behind the invasion and searching for legendary Grail Shards.

Among the game’s features are the colossal knights that roam Greater London. These massive figures are more than just set pieces—they serve as interactive gameplay elements that players can climb, explore, and battle in large-scale encounters. The game also includes an Enhanced Mode designed exclusively for PlayStation 5 Pro, offering improved resolution, ray tracing, and smoother performance at 60 frames per second.
