GungHo Online Entertainment America has announced plans to publish a remake of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, the first entry in Nihon Falcom’s Trails series. The remake is set for release in Fall 2025 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
Originally developed by Nihon Falcom, the studio behind the Ys and Trails franchises, this reimagined version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter offers enhanced visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and full 3D environments. Additionally, it will feature new English, German, and French localisations.
To commemorate the release, Limited Run Games will create special Collector’s Editions, with details to be revealed at a later date. Standard physical editions will also be available.
