As the Warcraft universe reaches its 30th anniversary on 15 November, Blizzard Entertainment hosted a special Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct to celebrate this milestone and share upcoming content for World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft Classic, Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble, and the original Warcraft RTS titles.

World of Warcraft (Modern)
World of Warcraft will mark its 20th anniversary on 24 November, with new content updates on the horizon:
- The first major content update for The War Within, titled Undermine(d) (patch 11.1), is set to launch early next year, taking players to the goblin capital of Undermine. The storyline will follow players as they pursue Xal’atath to counter her plans.
- Undermine(d) will also introduce:
- Two new delves, thematic updates for existing delves, and a new dungeon, which will be included in the Season 2 Mythic+ pool.
- An engineered high-speed ground mount designed for navigating the Goblin city.
- A new 8-boss raid where players face off against Gallywix and his allies.
- In a teaser, the World of Warcraft team also announced player housing, set to debut in Midnight next year, with more details to follow.
World of Warcraft (Classic)
The World of Warcraft Classic segment highlighted ongoing developments:
- The Season of Discovery will conclude, making way for Mists of Pandaria Classic. This version will reintroduce the expansion with some updates tailored for the Classic audience.
- 20th Anniversary Edition Realms will offer Classic Era players a fresh start, including Hardcore server options and a progression pathway through the content updates. Additionally, non-Hardcore servers will progress into Burning Crusade Classic.
Hearthstone
The Hearthstone team shared its 2025 expansion roadmap:
- The year will begin with the Heroes of Starcraft mini-set, introducing Protoss, Terran, and Zerg characters to the game.
- Following this, expansions include Underground Arena and Into the Emerald Dream.
- Later, players will return to Un’Goro Crater with The Shrouded City expansion, ending the year with The Heroes of Time, featuring alternate realities with Chromie.
Warcraft Rumble
Celebrating one year since launch, Warcraft Rumble will soon be available on PC:
- The beta for Warcraft Rumble’s PC release will begin on 11 December.
- This version will feature the new Split Leaders system, where leaders like Orgrim Doomhammer and Malfurion Stormrage belong to two families simultaneously, allowing for expanded gameplay dynamics.
Warcraft RTS
The original Warcraft RTS games that started the franchise are also receiving updates:
- A Warcraft Battle Chest, available now, will provide access to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Remastered, Warcraft II: Tides of War Remastered, and Warcraft III: Reforged, with modernisations and quality-of-life updates.
- Warcraft III: Reforged will progress to Update 2.0, allowing players to customise their visual experience with options for Reforged graphics, classic graphics, or a newly remastered version. Players will also be able to personalise UI elements across the available graphic modes.
