Square Enix has announced that Life is Strange: Double Exposure is available digitally today for Nintendo Switch. As of writing this release is a digital-exclusive, with a physical edition planned to follow on 28 January 2025. The Nintendo Switch version was developed by Engine Software in collaboration with the original developer, Deck Nine Games.
Already available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, this latest release expands the availability of the game to Switch players. Those interested in the physical edition can pre-order now, with select retailers offering a steelbook as a bonus. The physical release will include the full game on a 16GB cartridge.
In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, players reprise the role of Max Caulfield, a photographer at the elite Caledon University. After the death of her friend Safi, Max attempts to use her Rewind power, dormant for years, to change the past. Instead, she accesses a parallel timeline where Safi is alive but remains at risk. With a killer poised to strike in both timelines, Max must Shift between them to uncover the truth and prevent the murder.
