Following their work on the virtual reality rhythm game Ragnarok, independent French development studio WanadevStudio has shifted from drums to card games, officially launching their turn-based strategy card game with autobattler elements, Vestiges: Fallen Tribes, in Early Access on Steam and SteamVR. Priced at €14.99, the game combines deck-building with fast-paced, strategic gameplay.
Set in a tribal sci-fi universe, the story of Vestiges: Fallen Tribes revolves around the aftermath of humanity’s over-exploitation of resources, which has caused water scarcity and environmental collapse. In this near-extinct world, the remaining survivors use a game to peacefully replay historic battles and win water, the most valuable resource.
In its Early Access version, players can explore single-player scenarios and engage in both public and private matchmaking to compete with others and climb the leaderboards. Additionally, weekly challenges will be introduced, offering fresh content regularly.
Players should go in expecting progressively challenging scenarios in solo mode, with rewards for customization. PvP modes will allow competitors to rank among the best. WanadevStudio has committed to using community feedback to shape the game’s future development and encourages player engagement through their official Discord server during the Early Access period.
