GungHo Online Entertainment has announced a limited-time collaboration event between its mobile puzzle game, Puzzle & Dragons, and the Ultraman multimedia franchise. The event, which runs from today until 16 September at 17:59 (UTC-8), allows players to team up with various Ultraman characters to battle against Kaiju enemies.
Fans of Ultraman can collect characters such as Ultraman & Ultraseven, Ultraman Victory, and Zoffy through three different Egg Machines: the 6 Magic Stones! Ultraman Egg Machine 2, 6 Magic Stones! Ultraman Egg Machine 1, and the 7 Magic Stones! ★6+ Ultraman Egg Machine.
Players will receive daily login bonuses, including pulls from the Ultraman Egg Machine 2 and Ultraman Egg Machine 1, as well as items like King Diamond Dragon. Logging in for ten days during the event will reward players with a pull from the Ultraman Egg Machine 2 ★6+ Egg Machine.
In terms of gameplay, players will be able to access a range of different Ultraman-themed dungeons during the event period, including:
- The Ultraman Dungeon offers two difficulties: Ultraman-Novice and Ultraman-Expert. Completing floors in these dungeons rewards players with various items, including Magic Stones and Event Medals. The Ultraman-Novice dungeon provides a Rainbow Event Medal upon full completion, while the Ultraman-Expert dungeon, starting on September 6, offers three Rainbow Event Medals for full completion.
- Ultroid Zero Descended! and its Multiplayer variant guarantee a drop of Ultroid Zero. Completing these dungeons also rewards players with a pull from the Ultraman Egg Machine 2 ★6+ Egg Machine and the Ultraman Zero 4-PvP Icon.
Jugglus Juggler Descended! and its Multiplayer variant guarantee a drop of Jugglus Juggler, along with a pull from the Ultraman Egg Machine 1 ★6+ Egg Machine as a first-time clear reward. - The [Ultra] Title Challenge! and [Ultra Hero] Title Challenge! are time-limited dungeons that offer unique titles as first-time clear rewards.
- Ultra Hero Rush! provides a 100% drop rate of an Ultraman Event character if players use an Ultraman Event character as their leader. Completing this dungeon grants the Emi (Ultraman: Rising) character and an Event Medal – Black as rewards.
During the event, players can use Ultraman Event Medals to exchange for specific event characters. For example, 10 Rainbow Medals can be exchanged for Gigantron (Ultraman: Rising). Other exchanges include 5 Rainbow Medals for HANE2 and Pigmon, and 5 Black Medals for Absolute Tartus and Zetton (Shin Ultraman). As mentioned above, medals are obtained as drops in the Ultraman-Novice and Ultraman-Expert dungeons.
