After releasing a naughtier instalment in the long-running Jackbox series, Jackbox Games has announced The Jackbox Survey Scramble, a new collection of party games based on real survey responses from people around the world. The game will be available for a hands-on preview during Steam Next Fest from October 14 to 21, with an official release scheduled for the end of October 2024.
The Jackbox Survey Scramble offers four distinct game modes, each based on one-word survey responses from players around the world. A family-friendly filter is included, making it suitable for all ages. Players can invite friends, family, or colleagues to participate in answering questions like “In one word, what’s the cutest nickname for butts?” or “In one word, what’s the best sandwich topping?”
The four game modes are:
- Hilo: Players guess the most and least popular survey answers.
- Speed: A timed challenge where players aim to uncover as many correct answers as possible.
- Squares: A team-based competition to claim three squares in a row on a grid, using popular and less popular survey responses.
- Bounce: Teams work together to guess answers that position a paddle to intercept a bouncing ball, with the ball increasing in speed after each answer.
Jackbox Games has also confirmed that additional game modes will be introduced in a free update before the end of 2024.
Question is… will we see a new You Don’t Know Jack instalment on the horizon?
